Interactive Music Video, VR Project
"NEON VR" is an interactive Music Video played in Oculus Rift, and built in Unity. I created this project for exploring the possibility of virtual, immersive environment. People love to watch music video with their favorite songs, because that gives us something more than just music, more entertaining. And what if the music video we watched was immersive in VR, and also provided audiences the ability to explore the environment? That's my concept for the project.
Method & Tool
Software: Skanect, Mixamo, Unity
Equipment: Oculus Rift
For the 3D model, I used "Skanect" to scan myself into 3D models, then used Mixamo to animate and rig the figures. It was an exploration of trying new 3D model technology and the process was actually not difficult.
I made three different but all neon-theme like scenes, and each of them played different songs, but all named "Neon". I personally like the shining and futuristic vibes, and want to build the whole visuals more surreal and cool.
